Card skimming

On Tuesday, May 21st, a card skimming device was located attached to the card slot on a diesel pump at the TA Truck Stop in Mocksville, NC.
The maintenance supervisor noticed the tampering with the security tag seal on the exterior of the pump chamber. After opening the pump chamber, he located the card skimming device attached to the card slot. The pumps are opened by a universal key. This is the second time this has happened at this location.
The Sheriff's Office wanted to make other business owners aware of the situation and also to encourage consumers to be vigilant concerning their financial information.
