Deputy Jones responded to 331 Frank Short Rd in reference to an email scam asking for money. The victim stated that she received an email on 08/01/2010 from someone claiming to be the FBI. The email stated that a wealthy relative had left her 1.5 million dollars, but they needed $300.00 to processes the paperwork. On 08/11/2010 she received an additional email stating the FBI would arrest her if she did not comply within 24 hours to the EFCC (Economic Financial Crime Commission). The victim supplied Deputy Jones with the contact information that was included in the email. Deputy Jones made contact and after inquiring about the company he was disconnected. A detective has been assigned the case for further investigation.
