Scott Stephens Jr and Damien Shipp, both of Winston Salem, have been charged with 2 counts of breaking or entering and 2 counts of larceny after breaking or entering. These charges stem from an investigation conducted by Det/Sgt Scot Kimel in conjunction with the Alamance County Sheriff's Office. Alamance County had multiple reports of housebreakings in the area on 06-03-2010. Deputies located suspect vehicle (99 Ford Explorer) and attempted a vehicle stop. A vehicle pursuant ensued which ended in Randolph County due to a collision with a highway patrolman. The two suspects were arrested and were found to be in possession of numerous stolen items which included two items stolen from an Ijames Church Road residence two days earlier. There had also been another housebreaking the same day approximately two miles away on Liberty Church Road. Det/Sgt Kimel located a witness on Liberty Church Road that advised she saw a dark colored SUV parked in the driveway of the residence that did not belong there. After viewing a photo of a 99 Ford Explorer the witness advised that it appeared to be the same type of vehicle that she had seen earlier. Both suspects are in custody.
